Andrea Mitchell
Andrea Mitchell, an American journalist and commentator, who works for NBC News in Washington D.C. She is also a television anchor. She received an undergraduate degree in English literature from the University of Pennsylvania after growing up in New York City. In the year 1967, Mitchell was hired as a reporter at KYW Radio and TV in Philadelphia. In 1976, she joined the CBS-affiliate WDVM-TV which was based in Washington DC (then WTOP). Then, she became a Washington general correspondent to NBC News two years later. In 1981 began working for the White House and became chief congressional correspondent in 1988. She was made the chief White House correspondent in 1992. And Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent at NBC News. Mitchell hosted and was an expert panelist on the TV program Meet the Press. She served as a panelist during the presidential debates in 1988 between George Bush and Michael Dukakis. Mitchell is married with Alan Greenspan, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. In 2005, Mitchell was awarded the prestigious Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism from the John F. Kennedy School of Government as well as in 2004 in 2004, the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) honored Mitchell with the Leonard Zeidenberg Award in recognition of her contributions to the protection and protection of First Amendment Freedoms. Mitchell started covering for the White House in 1981-1988, and during the presidency of Ronald Reagan.
