The Horizon Award is a special honor by the Joint Leadership of the United States Congress and the Congressional Award Board of Directors. The Horizon Award is presented to people in the private sector who have helped in expanding opportunities for all Americans through their own personal contributions, and who have set an example for young people through their successes in life. Tom was an excellent teammateand was extremely grateful to be included with such a talented and experienced groupof players, practicing and working hard when his Magnum schedule permitted .... He was very understanding with all of us, and we relished the big crowds that replaced the smaller number of spouses and their friends at national tourney matches. ".
